Dramatic CCTV footage has emerged from China of a woman being rescued from beneath a car thanks to the collective action of dozens of passersby.

The footage, which was captured on May 29th, shows a white Audi pulling out on a busy road in Quingyuan and crashing into a motor scooter.

Four people fall from the scooter: the female scooter driver, two children and another woman, the driver's sister.

The scooter driver gets to her feet quickly and with help from passersby manages to free the children from beneath the vehicle but the driver's sister remains trapped beneath the car.

At least a fifteen people rush to the scene to help and together they lift the car, freeing the trapped woman.

Everyone involved in the crash escaped with only minor injuries.
