Two young Filipino artists used a giant leaf as a canvas for a commissioned portrait.

Joneil Calagos Severino and Jerry Casaljay recorded themselves carving onto the huge Alocasia leaf the face of Thai rapper Lisa from the world-famous South Korean girl group BLACKPINK. The video was taken in Gandara town, Samar province, the Philippines on November 9.

The pair were taking leaf art commissions to fund their expenses at school.

Joneil said: 'We thought of using the leaves because we noticed that they were just rotting. We practised using them until more people took notice of our talent.

'It's also a big help for us because we get money to use for school projects without asking from our parents.'

Alocasia, also known as Elephant's ears or Giant taro, is a genus of tropical plants with broad, arrowhead-shaped leaves.
