Europe's largest LNG terminal in Kent under pressure as UK faces rising energy prices
The UK and Europe is currently facing an energy crisis, with risk of supply issues controlled by Russia.
Most of the UK's gas arriving by sea is imported via the National Grid's 'Grain LNG' facility on the Isle of Grain in Kent. The gas is stored in huge missile-proof storage tanks and the site is the largest LNG facility in Europe.
Footage from today (February 1) shows the huge concrete and metal storage tanks at the facility - which are situated on the Medway estuary - an important habitat for wildlife.
