This was the moment a daring thief stole a cell phone from the shirt pocket of a victim in a crowded shop.

The thief stood next to the victim at a busy medical shop in Mahidpur in central India on January 15.

He raised his right elbow to block the view of the victim’s shirt pocket and used the other hand to slickly pick the phone.

The victim, who was engrossed in buying medicine, failed to notice he had been relieved of his phone right under his nose. It did not help that he was wearing a helmet that partially blocked his view and made the thief’s task easier.

The victim has been identified as Amrutlal Kumawat, a farmer from a nearby village. Local police officer Dinesh Bhojak said there has been no investigation into the theft as he had not received any complaint so far.
