Dickensian Fire Laboratory - a steampunk inspired reinvention of the Victorian era in Kent, UK
Brief footage of the Dickensian Fire Laboratory staged as part of the Medway Light Nights festival in Rochester, Kent, UK (11-12 February).
This unique performance inspired by the steampunk trend - saw the Vines park near Rochester Cathedral turned into a fire & steam laboratory in a re-imagining of the Victorian era featuring 'wacky' machines presented by actors - who encouraged members of the public to press buttons which triggered the contraptions to shoot flames high into the air!
The eye-catching event was organised by Emergency Exit Arts and Lightfires.
