The cricket legend died on the holiday island of Koh Samui in a villa with three friends on Friday afternoon.
Allan McKinnon said: 'I'm here on behalf of Shane Warne's family and his travelling companions to thank Superintendent Yutthana and his team here at the Bo Phun Police Station and the hospital in Koh Samui for facilitating this process and getting Shane Warne back to Australia as quickly as possible.
'They have been very compassionate, very efficient, and very understanding.
Police and consular officials from Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) met with Warne's friends at the Samujana Villas where they had all been staying.
Foreign Minister Marise Payne said in a statement: 'DFAT is working with Thai authorities to confirm arrangements following his passing, assist with his repatriation and provide other assistance on the ground.'
Speaking in the second half of the video, Police Colonel Yuttana Sirisombat said Shane had been complaining of chest pains and health issues prior to his death.
'He had asthma and had seen a doctor about his heart,' the superintendent at the Bo Phut police station on Koh Samui, told reporters
Asked about any illnesses before his death, he said. ‘We learned from his family that he had experienced chest pains when he was back home in his country.'
