Two brave locals jump into sea to rescue drowning boy in Indonesia
Two brave locals jumped into the sea to rescue a drowning boy in Indonesia.
Footage shows the men battling massive currents to pull the boy back to a beach in Sukabumi, Java on February 27.
Beachgoe Rahmat Hidayat said they heard someone shouting for help and saw the men racing towards the boy in the water.
He said: 'It happened so fast. The boys were having fun and then someone shouted. I hope parents would be more vigilant when it comes to their children in public places.'
The boy had two other playmates who were also pulled into the depths by strong currents but were able to swim back to the shore while the boy was left behind.
The good Samaritans rushed the boy to a clinic where he was given treatment. He is now in stable condition.
