Setiawati is the mother of a three-year-old boy with the initials GI.

They are from Muaragembong, Bekasi Regency in Indonesia.

Footage from March 23 shows how the boy likes to eat paper, and the story extends to other odd items like sandals, pebbles, and styrofoam whenever GI's appetite for paper is not satiated.

Setiawati said that her child does not have digestive problems even though the habit has appeared since GI was a one-year-old.

"Initially I was worried about him, afraid he would do something like that. Thank God no, he never complained of pain," said Setiawati.

Setiawati, a parent of a toddler with the initials GI (3) from Muaragembong, Bekasi Regency who likes to eat paper, said that her child did not have digestive problems even though the habit had appeared since GI was 1 year old.

"Initially I was worried about him, afraid he would do something like that. Thank God no, he never complained of pain," Setiawati said when confirmed, Wednesday (23/3/2022).

He said an unusual object that was swallowed by the GI came out when his child defecated. Not only paper, but also sandals, pebbles and Styrofoam.

"When I eat sandals, when I see pee, it comes out green, full of green. Sometimes I also like to eat small pebbles, it comes out too," he said.

Setiawati added that apart from her child not being sick or having problems, she was also worried about the cost of a medical examination at the hospital.

Moreover, she only works as a housewife. Meanwhile, her husband only works as a pond laborer.

"I never took him to the doctor because he wasn't sick. If he went there, he had to spend money, his father was in the pool, I was just at home doing nothing, just a housewife," said Setiawati.

A child with the initials GI (3) from Bulak Sukadana Village, Jayasakti Village, Muaragembong District, Bekasi Regency, has gone viral on social media because he has an unusual habit.

Unlike children in general, GIs like to eat weird things like paper, Styrofoam, cardboard and flip-flops.

GI's mother, Setiawati, explained that her son's habit of snacking on paper had been going on since GI was 1 year old. At that time, he thought his son was just a fad like other toddlers who like to put things in his mouth.

"I thought I was playing normally, he was chewing. But yesterday he didn't chew, he ate it," Setiawati said when confirmed,
After that, he noticed more and more oddities in his son. GI also likes to eat sandals.

"I thought he looked weird when he was 1 year old, how come there are so many stubble sandals, I saw this kid eating sandals. So I forbade him to call him Sendai, he often gets angry, he eats sandals until I change to new sandals," he said.

When banned, GI even eats other foods to divert his desire to eat paper. Styrofoam and cardboard are also used as snacks such as snacks.

His son even rages until he feels awry.

"I was banned, I can't stand it like that, I'm embarrassed, it's time to eat paper. I don't want him, he's angry," Setiawati said.
