M40 closed between junction 11 and 12 on Saturday 16th April 2022 due to serious collision and vehicle fire, Northbound to one lane
The M40 was closed to Southbound traffic and reduced to one late on Northbound near Gaydon, Warwickshire between junctions 11 and 12 following a serious accident and vehicle fire on Saturday afternoon, 16th April 2022. This resulted in delays of up to 45 minutes with a tailback of around 2 miles for Northbound traffic until around 11pm due to two lanes being closed. Fire engines and police in attendance, unknown as yet of the wellbeing of the occupants of the vehicles but hope it was possible to save them. This is aerial drone footage of the queue as it was reducing towards the end of the evening and of the scene of the incident.
