Polish volunteers continue their spirit of giving by helping Bucha, Ukraine residents celebrate the upcoming Orthodox Easter, seen here on Thursday (April 21).

Yaroslav Burkivsky, the owner of the Baker's Hut, and a team of volunteers collected flour and everything needed to organize bread baking among the bakers.

Millions of refugees from Ukraine have fled to neighboring Ukraine after Russia launched an invasion on February 24.

Bucha, a city in Ukraine's Kyiv Oblas, has been a particular target of Russian troops, with extensive claims of war crimes and killing of civilians being reported widely, including by Newsflare.

After their initial setup in Bucha, the team is aiming to and continue to set up work in the nearby capital, Kyiv.

"It is no coincidence that we chose the city of Bucha. Because today the boundary between the living and the dead has been erased. In this place, one in five died in this war," said one of the volunteers, Jacek Polewski.

The team gathered, worked, and ended with the prayer “Glory to Ukraine."

"Probably, today our whole life is involved, just like these Easter ceremonial bread are involved in the same feat that the entire Ukrainian society is performing, protecting not only its own territory, land," said Mykolai, another volunteer.
