A mother and daughter on a walk with their dog noticed a garbage truck catching on fire on Wednesday (June 15) morning before the truck ended up exploding in a harrowing moment.

"We called the men over so that they can be safe while our neighbor is on the phone with 911. Seconds later the truck explodes and we all ran to the side of the building urging everyone on their balconies to exit," said Corrine Valentine, one of the two women walking.

As we are walking our dog a garbage truck pulls into the building to pick up the dumpsters. As the truck is getting ready to lift up the dumpster it catches fire. We call the garbage men over so that they are away and safe. Our neighbor is on the phone with 911. We tried calling first but our call did not go through but they did end up calling us afterwards. Within seconds the truck exploded.
