Video taken on June 8, 2022 shows the wind power in Zhangye, Northwest China's Gansu Province. In recent years, Zhangye city has made full use of the abundant water, soil and wind resources within the territory, vigorously developed new energy and created a clean energy industry. The formation of the clean energy industry will help achieve the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality as soon as possible.

Zhangye City, located in the middle of Hexi Corridor, is an important power output city of Gansu Province and an important part of hexi new energy base. The reserves of hydro energy, solar energy, wind energy, biomass energy and geothermal energy resources are in the forefront of Gansu Province, especially the enrichment of wind energy and solar energy resources, which can be exploited and utilized to reach 15 million kilowatts and wind energy resources over 10 million kilowatts respectively, and the biomass energy resources can be supplied equal to 431,900 tons of standard coal.
