A motorist was sent spinning after they drove over a stray tyre on a highway near Mountain Pass, California.

Dashcam footage from July 2021 shows the moment the vehicle hit the tyre and was sent spinning out of control.

The car owner told Newsflare: "Me and a friend were driving toward Las Vegas, Nevada. At 9:17 pm local time, we hit a tyre on the I-15 Northbound highway as we were approaching the town of Primm, Nevada.

"The car flew over the tire, we temporarily lost control, and at one point did a 360 spinning rotation.

"Somehow, the vehicle completed the 360 spinning rotation, and we were able to steer the vehicle to the left shoulder.

"Seconds later, a vehicle swerved away from the same tire and hit us. This vehicle managed to avoid a direct impact and only grazed our back right light.

"The turn light was broken but we somehow were not hurt in this 2nd collision - not even whiplash."

On Oct 25th, 2021 - me and a friend were driving toward Las Vegas, Nevada. At 9:17pm local time, we hit a tire on the I-15 Northbound highway as we were approaching the State line and the town of Primm, Nevada. We were going approx. 60-70mph. Without time to react, we hit the tire directly head-on. The car flew over the tire, we temporarily lost control, and at one point did a 360 spinning rotation (where we saw other vehicles coming directly at us from up the highway).

Somehow, the vehicle completed the 360 spinning rotation, and we were able to steer the vehicle to the left shoulder. Seconds later, a vehicle swerved away from the same tire and hit us. This vehicle managed to avoid a direct impact and only grazed our back right light. The turn light was broken but we somehow were not hurt in this 2nd collision - not even whiplash.
