Squeamish: Poisonous ant inside man's eardrum in Vietnam
According to a doctor in Dong Da, Vietnam, a man came to the hospital with severe pain in his ear on Tuesday (August 16).
The man said something had entered his ear canal while he was sitting and it was biting his ear causing him great pain.
The doctor quickly examined and discovered that a fire ant was poisonous and had deep bites that were crawling in the ear canal and attacking the man's eardrum.
The doctor then used salt water to stop the ant from attacking and sucked the ant out of the man's ear.
The doctor said the ant venom would cause the man's ear canal to become inflamed and would take several days to heal.
The ant's motives are unknown.
This footage was filmed with the patient's permission
