Mother's Day Steam Train in Thailand
Special steam train excursion in honour of Queen Sirikit of Thailand's 83d birthday on August 12,which is also Mother's Day in Thailand. The vintage Japanese-built steam locomotives only run on special occasions. Number 824 was built in 1949,number 850 in 1950, both by Nippon Sharyo. The excursion was from Bangkok to Nakhon Pathom,which has the tallest Jedi in the world (127 metres).
