A boat carrying 25 people capsized in the overflowing Ganges river in the Eighththa village of Revatipur, Ghazipur, India's State of Uttar Pradesh on August 31.

Villagers rushed to the scene and rescued as many passengers as they could. Some were admitted to the hospital.

The emergency team has recovered two bodies of people who have drowned and is currently looking for five children in the water who are yet to be found.

According to local sources, the people on the boat were carrying fodder.

A boat full of two dozen people overturned in the overflowing Ganga river in Eighththa village of Revatipur police station area,Ghazipur August 31.

In this painful accident, 7 people in the boat were washed away. Bodies of 2 people drowned in the boat capsized in the flood have been recovered, while 5 children who drowned in the water are yet to be found. Search is on for 5 children.

It is being told that the people in the boat were carrying fodder for the animals, during which this major accident happened. Villagers rescued a dozen drowning people and admitted in local Hospital.
