This is the amusing moment a driver mistook a mannequin for a 'fearless' crossing guard in Thailand.

The motorist spotted the stationary figure wearing a bright green vest and a white hard hat standing next to the level crossing in Nakhon Ratchasima province on August 31.

Despite the train rumbling past the tracks at high speed, the unfazed 'worker' appeared to hold his ground and remained motionless from his station.

However, upon moving past the intersection, the driver discovered that the person was merely a mannequin holding up a sign.

The driver, Prasit, said: 'I thought, how can that man stand fearlessly with his back facing the train? The train was running at high speed and I was afraid he would be hit by it.

‘I don't know who chose to put the puppet in that spot. If anybody was driving at night, it would have been very scary to watch because from a distance, it looked like a worker was standing at the railway crossing.'
