At least 174 people die in Indonesia after football match!
Indonesian football mourns, the number of victims who died in the tragedy of the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang, continues to increase. The latest information on the death toll has reached 174 people.
Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Dardak said the initial data of 154 people died but now it has increased again, bringing the total death toll to 174 people.
"The data from the East Java Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPPD) at 09.30 was still 158, but at 10.30 it was 174," said East Java Deputy Governor Emil Dardak, Sunday (2/10/2022)
Meanwhile, for the injured, Emil said that according to the data received, the total number of injured was 309 people, with details of 11 seriously injured. In addition, there were 298 other people with minor injuries.
Emil said the East Java Provincial Government had prepared as many as 8 referral hospitals for the victims, both dead and injured.
Hospitals prepared respectively, Kanjuruhan Regional General Hospital, Wava Husada Hospital, Teja Husada Clinic, Saiful Anwar Regional General Hospital, Gondanglegi Islam Hospital, Wajak Husada General Hospital, Hasta Husada Hospital, and General Hospital Mitra Pomegranate area.
Emil added that some of the bodies of the victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy had been identified. Others still haven't.
Emil also said that the government had prepared a crisis center post for the families of the victims to update the condition of their families who were victims of the incident.
The riot at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang, East Java, occurred after the Arema FC team lost their match against the Surabaya Persebaya Team with a score of 2-3 in the continuation of the Indonesian league 1 competition.
