Hack to get 10 DAYS off work for King Charles’ coronation
A savvy TikToker has shared a sneaky hack for getting 10 days off work for King Charles’ coronation next year – but not everyone is in luck.
Kathryn Leech, 26, a digital media manager from Manchester, is a self-proclaimed "savvy saver" and shares her money knowledge online with her 26,300 TikTok followers (@everylittlepenny).
In a recent post, Kathryn shared how employees can score 10 days off of work using only four holiday days.
It’s all about being clever with the calendar and utilising the extra bank holiday on Monday 8 May 2023 for the King’s coronation.
Kathryn explained: “As we are still getting our 1 May bank holiday, just book off work the 2, 3, 4 and 5 May – this means you will get 10 days in a row off work, only using four days of your holiday allowance.”
She shared the top tip on TikTok, where the post was viewed more than 1.1 million times and racked up 45,000 likes.
While hundreds of viewers took to the comments section, there were mixed opinions on the hack, with some people thrilled, and others rather put out that it wouldn’t apply to them.
One person pointed out: “Unless you work weekends and bank holidays.”
One person said: “I’m doing this.”
