Footage filmed on February 7 shows a rescuer helping a girl named Umay to get out of the rubble in Hatay, Turkey.

Images show Umay, her pregnant mother, and her father as they were pulled from the rubble together after Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) search and rescue teams sent by the Disaster And Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) reached the province at midnight.

As search and rescue teams battle to find survivors, one good news story involves the rescue of a little girl as well as her pregnant mother and father, who were saved alive from the rubble of the building.

Images show little Umay, her pregnant mother and her father as they were pulled from the rubble together after Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) search and rescue teams sent by the Disaster And Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) reached the province at midnight.

Sharing a post at the hour when the teams reached Hatay at midnight, connecting 6th February to 7th February, Imamoglu said, “IMM search and rescue teams are in the disaster area. Our first team who reached Hatay saved 8 of our citizens from the wreckage. We currently have a team of 100 people in Hatay. Our team of 108 people from G.Antep and 100 people from Adana is about to reach Hatay. Tonight, a team of 100 people is leaving from Istanbul."

He added: "Beautiful girl Umay, your rescue warmed up our hearts. The good news is coming from our rescue teams in Hatay. Our reinforcement teams are also on the way.”
