This is the hilarious moment a mystery flying UFO tent landed in a family's back garden.

The camping essential was seen drifting more than 100ft into the air while amused residents watched it soar above them in Kamphaeng Phet province, Thailand.

After about 30 seconds of floating below the blue sky, the green object hit a row of trees and settled onto the grass as the owners burst into laughter.

Resident Yawittha Sumangkaset said: ‘It was one funny UFO. We were having a barbecue when it was swept away by strong winds.

'I wonder what else we can find flying around during this hot and windy weather.'

The lightweight tent appeared to have not been secured with pegs when it was blown away and swept up by a rising stream of warm air.

Yawittha said they do not know where the mystery tent came from and nobody had visited them to collect it.
