Pro-refugee demonstrators gather outside Beresford Hotel, in the town of Newquay, England, in support of the asylum seekers who are being housed there, as an anti-migration rally takes place.

The footage shows people holding placards reading "Racists not welcome", "Refugees welcome", and "UK Govt must provide safe passage".

The hotel houses approximately 200 people.

An anti asylum seeker demonstration is organised by the far right group Reform UK at a seaside hotel currently used by the UK Home office to house asylum seekers and refugees waiting for Home office claim processing. The Beresford hotel is in Newquay Cornwall UK. The 100 bedroom hotel can house an estimated 200 people over 100 bedrooms. A much larger counter demonstration in support of the occupants is peopled by members of the public with placards and also organised groups from Education colleges and Trade unions throughout the south West region. The hotel was offered to the Home office by the owners the Bespoke group of hotels. Local politicians united in condemnation of the controversial event. a large police presence is in place.
