Leopard lives life on the edge

During one of Tim Brown Tours many safaris we located a young male Leopard.

The only trouble was the he was not aware that a pride of sleeping Lions; had decided to get active early and were walking in his direction.

We waiting with baited breath just kept our fingers crossed. This had become a life or death situation for this young Leopard.

As the Lions approached the Leopard crouched down flat in the grass.

As the Lions go closer it was time to make a huge leap of faith!

Would he be safe, would the dead tree hold his weight of would this be the end of his life.

Sadly I missed the leap as I had to move the vehicle to not interfere with nature and block any escape route for the Leopard but the build up and the result are good enough for me.


This lucky Leopard lived to fight another day under the African sun and was very happy perched up in this dead tree after sunset safe from the Lions.
