Heroic captain jumps into river to save drowning boy in China
A captain jumped into a river to save a 4-year-old boy that was swept away by the rapids in southwestern China.
The heroic video was filmed in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province on April 12.
The young boy reportedly had innocently wandered into the river to retrieve his shoes when the rapids quickly engulfed him.
In a moment of sheer luck, 36-year-old captain Xiao Guangming was on his way back to shore when he spotted the child struggling in the water.
Without hesitation, Captain Xiao, jumped into the river to rescue the boy. He was able to quickly reach the child and bring him to safety on the riverbank.
