Massive avalanche crashes down Himalayan mountain as hikers rest nearby
A massive avalanche rolled down a Himalayan mountain as hikers rested nearby.
Footage shows the debris rumbling down the steep trail creating giant clouds of ice in Annapurna mountain in Nepal on March 24.
Nature explorer Alina Pekova said she and her team were safe after the unexpected snowslide.
She said: ‘Annapurna, where we were, is considered one of the most dangerous because of frequent and powerful avalanches triggered by unstable weather.'
Earlier this month, seven tourists died in India's Himalayan state of Sikkim when an avalanche hit near a mountain pass going to Tibet.
