Two baby elephants were caught on camera in Kruger National Park in South Africa crossing a tarred road for the first time.

The adorable scene from December 2022 shows the little pachyderms confusion as they step onto the hard road surface.

"Both were very confused and walked very funny while following the herd," said the filmer.

"Some say that they think the road is water. Not sure but they did walk funny!" he added.

These 2 baby Elephants paused when they reached the tar road to cross it. One can clearly see the confusion in their actions. The second Elephant also briefly paused when starting his crossing, but hesitantly continued. Both were very confused and walked very funny while following the herd. Some say they think it is water? Not sure, but they did walk funny :). I filmed this just before the big rains came in South Africa's Kruger National Park. I only re-discovered these videos (more to follow) while sifting through previous videos I took while waiting for the internet service to come back on due to load-shedding here in South Africa. Luckily, I have an inverter to keep the computer on and one does not need any internet to go through previous downloaded footage on one's computer.
