THE YOUNG Newcastle mum who diagnosed her own cancer has revealed how gaslighting by medics “because she was a young woman” left her weeks away from death but she saved herself by cleverly googling her symptoms.

Chloe Leigh Todd (22), mum to Dominic (now three), was only diagnosed with cancer when she forced doctors to take a blood sample for testing after finding a page about leukaemia online through her own google search.

Shockingly, according to Chloe, doctors had left it so long that she was "weeks from death" and now suffers from an array of bone transplant-related health issues.

Chloe started suffering from a persistent sore throat, oral thrush, raging temperatures, unexplained bruising, and a host of other nasty symptoms in February 2020, when she was just 19.

She routinely contacted her GP practice, who due to COVID were only conducting telephone consultations. They would tell her that she was only suffering from minor ailments like tonsilitis or a chest infection, and left her to suffer with minimum support.
