Giulia Iserni (28) and Nicola Trevisanut (33) from Pordenone, Italy had little idea that Giulia’s breezy and happy pregnancy would end with their son Bruno Trevisanut (2) being born with Port Wine Stain (PWS).

A PWS is a flat, red or purple mark on the skin that is present at birth.

After four months Bruno started having his first seizures, resulting in doctors diagnosing him with the rare genetic disease SWS (Sturge Weber Syndrome).

Sturge-Weber syndrome is a problem with the way blood vessels grow in the skin, eyes, and brain. Blood vessels grow too much and form growths called angioma.
