Sun Damage Reversal Secrets

**EXCLUSIVE**

By Shannine O’Neill

THIS WOMAN was left with melasma, sun spots, freckles and discolouration after using sunbeds and sun exposure but now tells you the secrets to having perfect skin.

Aubrey Sentell (30) from Tennessee, USA started to reverse her skin damage from using sunbeds after she saw her skin starting to have very noticeable damage.

Aubrey started her skin journey at the end of 2021 when she realised that using sunbeds were damaging her skin to the point where she could physically see melasma, sun spots, freckles and discoloration that was never there before.

This kicked Aubrey into realising how damaged her skin was and how she needed to make a difference to taking care of her skin before it got any worse.

Aubrey used to use random drugstore cleanser and moisturiser on her skin, not really putting much thought into her skincare routine.

Now Aubrey has invested in an 11-step daily skincare regime that has turned her skin from discoloured and dull to even and youthful.

Aubrey also achieves her look through medical grade skincare and treatments done at a med spa from a licensed esthetician such as intense pulsed light, chemical peels, microneedling and hydrafacials.

Aubrey went from using sunbeds and a general two-step skincare routine that left her with damaged skin that was only getting worse, to having an intense five-step morning routine and six-step night-time routine that completely transformed her face.

Aubrey’s day-time regime consists of cleansing, vitamin c, tone correcting serum, moisturiser, and SPF.

Aubrey’s nightly routine consists of micellar water, cleanser, tone correcting serum, active balance serum, retinol, and moisturiser.

“I started my skin journey at the end of 2021,” she said.

“I realised going to the tanning bed was causing a lot of damage to my face and skin. I used to use random drugstore products such as cleansers and moisturiser.

“I had a lot of melasma, sun spots, freckles, discoloration, etc from the sun damage.

“I implemented medical grade skincare and treatments done at a med spa from a licensed esthetician such as IPL treatment, (intense pulsed light), chemical peels, microneedling and hydrafacials and most importantly, SPF.

“My morning routine consists of: cleanse, vitamin c, tone correcting serum, moisturizer, SPF, and my night routine: micellar water, cleanser, tone correcting serum, active balance serum, retinol, moisturiser. I also use exfoliating peel pads two to three times per week.”

What Aubrey noticed the most from devoting her time to reversing the damage done by the sunbeds, was her confidence sky-rocketing in comparison to what it was beforehand.

“I was pretty self conscious of what my skin looked like prior to starting treatments for my sun damage,” she said.

“I had a lot of discoloration that I would like to try to cover up with makeup.

“I did feel very self conscious.

“I feel so much better now that I’ve gotten to this stage. I am so much more confident and don’t feel like I ever need to put on makeup before I leave the house, in fact I rarely ever wear makeup.

“I feel like I look so much brighter and refreshed now. I would consider skincare to be a hobby of mine now, I enjoy making time for my skincare to better myself.”

After Aubrey started to notice the changes and benefits to her skin, she started posting about her skincare journey on social media, with people being astonished by her skin transformation when seeing the before and after shots.

“People often say they didn’t realise how big of a difference it really was until they saw my ‘before and after’ pictures,” she said.

“This change didn’t happen overnight, and that’s something very important to remember if you are wanting to treat/correct your sun damage.

“It does take time, it’s not something that happens over night.

“Other than improving my confidence, making these videos has helped me connect with other like minded people who also enjoy skincare and allows me to help people who might be at my starting point and are wanting to reverse their sun damage.”
