Muslims in London protest Swedish government after Quran burning outside mosque
A small group of Muslims gathered in London to demonstrate against the Swedish government after authorities granted permission for a Quran-burning protest (July 8).
An Iraqi national, and resident of Sweden tore pages and burnt a copy of the holy book outside the largest mosque in the nation's capital, Malmo, drawing mass criticism from the Muslim-majority countries.
Protesters carrying Palestinian, Iraqi and Saudi Arabian flags climbed the Shaftesbury Memorial in Piccadilly Circus whilst chanting, 'Down, down Sweden'.
