Footage filmed on July 11, 2023, shows two leopards entering residential houses in Gujarat, India. A woman, a child, and a forest employee were seriously injured.

The incident occurred near Sukhnath Chowk in Girgrah, Gir Somnath. The area was filled with police and rescue teams, with one leopard found hiding on a balcony. Residents watched anxiously from rooftops as the events unfolded. Prompt action was taken by the Forest Department and Girgadhada Police to capture the leopards and ensure resident safety.

One leopard was successfully captured and confined, while efforts continue to capture the second one.

The injured individuals received medical attention, and the captured leopards were relocated to Jasadhar Animal Care Center.

The villagers of Girgadhada, still fearful, find some relief knowing the leopards have been secured, and efforts will persist to safeguard the community from wildlife intrusions.
