Water pours from bridge being built during heavy rain in China
A large bridge construction project turned into a huge waterfall during heavy rain in China.
Tourists travelled to see the spectacle of the new building turned waterfall at Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County, a region under the jurisdiction of Mianyang City in northern China's Sichuan province.
Footage shows rainwater that has flooded onto the two bridges and then flowed out through the incomplete drainage outlets on the massive structure.
Across the entire length of the bridge, water flooded out in a cascade onto the ground below before draining into a huge river flowing underneath.
Communist infrastructure officials responsible for the project have declined to comment on whether extra work will be needed to stop water flowing down the motorway onto the bridge or whether this was already part of the project that had simply not yet been implemented.
