SCHIERMONNIKOG - The Freemantle Highway has arrived near Schiermonnikoog in the Netherlands. The ship is now in a temporary location about 16 kilometers north of Ameland and Schiermonnikoog.

At this location, the ship lies below the shipping routes in the North Sea and more sheltered from the wind. The ship is held in place by two tugs. Eventually he will have to be towed to a port, but which one this will be is still unknown.

Last Tuesday, a fire broke out on the ship. The ship was carrying nearly 4,000 cars, 498 of which were electric vehicles. 23 people on board were injured, one person died.
