Bull snake found hiding from the heat inside my family’s old Blackstone griddle during a West Texas heat wave.

We knew the snake was somewhere on our back porch, as we had seen it earlier in the day. Our biggest concern was to find it and see what kind of snake it was as we have had several issues with rattlesnakes this summer!

My husband decided to check the 2 cooking grills we had outside and when he opened the Blackstone there it was. Luckily he was able to easily identify the snake as a nonvenomous Bull Snake.

The snake was not harmed, once we realized he was not aggressive my husband simply moved him to another part of our land. Bull snakes are good to keep around as they eat/kill rodents. We have seen the same snake several more times around our property. So much that my kids have now named him “Tiger Bob”
