A video recorded on August 7th in Fujian Province captures a man's heroic rescue of a mother and her son from the waves in the ocean.

He bravely jumped from a protruding rock into the sea to get close to the pair, who were struggling in the water, and carried them in the direction of the shore. He also nearly lost his balance during this time when he was swept over by the waves, but with the help of another man who rushed to assist him, they eventually brought the mother and her son safely back to shore.

According to the filmer Ms. Huang, the wife of the rescuer, the mother and son came over later specifically to thank them. She posted the video to remind everyone to be safe when playing in the water.
