Thieves steal an ATM using a forklift but later drop it in traffic
Detectives in California are searching for two suspects who tried to steal an ATM by knocking it down with a forklift and loading it onto a pickup truck but fell off their vehicle as they fled.
The fallen Safe Credit Union ATM later caused a traffic crash on Watt Avenue in the city of Sacramento on August 2.
CCTV footage shows the moment one of them maneuvers a forklift, while the other parks a white pickup truck near the machine.
The forklift operator manages to knock the ATM off the ground and loads it onto the bed of the getaway vehicle before the footage cuts.
They reportedly lost the machine while making their getaway and left it behind.
