A food stand vendor made incredible fire tea twirled through the air as amazed locals gathered around to watch.

Komsan Prangthong, 54, who owns the milk tea shop Kor Kai Roti Cha Chuk, introduced the impressive technique to his customers in Trang province, southern Thailand.

Footage shows the chef holding a pitcher with flames and pouring a pot of tea in it which also set ablaze at the CCC food fair on August 14.

The street vendor said the unusual method removes the bitter taste in the tea and attracts more customers.

He said: ‘There are so many shops that sell tea, we have to be creative so that the people will recognise us. Many have tried to copy our methods, but they ended up burning their drinks.'

The unique fire tea is available in Komsan's shops located at two supermarkets in the province, as well as pop-up shops he set up in bazaars.

Komsan's fire tea is believed to be the first of its kind - where the barista pours the burning drinks into two pots. Another burning tea variety is from India, where the cuppas are topped with flames when served.
