In response to some campaign proposals that insist on dollarization to stabilize the country's situation, leading economists, professors and researchers in the field from various public and private universities in Argentina and abroad explained why it would be a misguided initiative. "Dollarization is a mirage", they warned in an open letter that this Sunday was still gathering adhesions among the professionals to whom it was still being circulated.

In a document, the specialists analyzed the current economic situation in Argentina, referring to inflation, the fall in income and macroeconomic imbalances. In this sense, they stated: "Instability and lack of growth are at the basis of the rapid expansion of poverty and inequality affecting our society". In this way, they clarified that "the main challenge of the next administration will be to stabilize the economy as a necessary condition to recover growth".
