'Laughing' deer charges head first at Porsche breaking off part of antlers
A testosterone-fuelled red deer charged antler first at the side of a Porsche and even appeared to ‘laugh’ afterwards.
Jeremy Pilgrim was filming the rutting deer in Bushy Park, London, on October 2 when one of the males turned its attentions from a rival to a black 4x4.
Staggering footage which has been viewed more than 6.3million times shows the male rear up at the side of the road and rush at the vehicle.
The deer careered so powerfully into the Porsche that the force of the contact caused part of the bone to fly off and the male even appeared to laugh afterwards.
Jeremy said: “The red deer are in rutting season and this one had been playing with another originally.
“Suddenly it turned its attention to the Porsche and charged head first at the side of it.
“It was then that I was worried for my safety and decided straight away to back off.”
Commenters on Jeremy’s video joked that it was ‘a dear day’ for the Porsche driver and pointed out how the deer appeared to ‘laugh’ following the contact.
One person wrote: “The evil laugh afterwards.”
Another commenter said: “Dearie dearie me. It laughed afterwards too.”
One person commented: “The fact he laughed just really made it worse.”
