A plane has taken off from Buenos Aires to Tel Aviv as Argentina intends to evacuate its citizens from Israel following its war with Hamas.

A C130 Hercules aircraft will land in Tel Aviv before flying to Rome and then back to Argentina.

After the Argentine Armed Forces reported that they would begin Operation Safe Rescue to evacuate compatriots who are stranded in Israel, Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero received the Minister of Defense and the president of Aerolineas Argentinas to organize the action plan, as The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of Argentina reported in a statement.

The C130 Hercules aircraft has already taken off for Tel Aviv to make flights to Rome with Argentines on board who will then continue the return to Buenos Aires through Aerolineas Argentinas.

“Since Sunday we have been carrying out the initiative to compile a list that today amounts to 713 people who were there for tourist or work reasons, some living there and also a group of students. We work with all the lists from the Consulate General in Tel Aviv and from the Embassy, to carry out the corresponding evacuation and repatriation task,” Cafiero explained.
