Clever dog spotted unlocking and opening gate using tongue and mouth
A clever dog undid a gate lock using its mouth before opening the bolt with its nose before walking out freely.
Maria Alejandra Ortiz could not work out how her dog Terry kept escaping through the front of her home in Rio Claro, Chile.
Funny footage filmed on October 7 captured the moment her eight-year-old pooch started biting at the wire that held her lock in place, carefully unthreading it with his teeth.
Once the gate was unlocked, Terry then used his nose to slide the bolt to one side before sauntering through the opening and on to the street.
Maria said: “We were really impressed when we saw him do it. At first we thought someone was removing the wire for him.
“Terry has always opened the door by himself. He learned a few years ago so we started putting the wire on to try and stop him.
“This was the first day we realised he was pulling it out by himself.”
