Footage shows residents in the middle of a volleyball match while sunbeams illuminated the sinkhole-turned-sports court in Nanning, Guangxi, October 5.
The afternoon rays bathed a portion of the underground venue in golden light, with other people flocking to see the unlikely local tourist spot.
Sinkholes are usually formed when water weathers and washes away layers of rock beneath the surface, leading to the ground collapsing.
