Chinese pupils accidentally ignite four cars with weed fire in parking lot
Pupils accidentally ignited four cars with a weed fire in a parking lot in southern China.
The video was filmed in the city of Dongguan in Guangdong Province on November 13.
Three pupils lit a pile of dry grass under an SUV. Then the parking lot's dry grass quickly fueled the flames, causing a rapid spread that engulfed four vehicles.
Initially, the three children attempted to extinguish the blaze but were overwhelmed by the intensity of the fire. Frightened, they fled the scene.
Moments later, a passerby noticed the inferno and alerted emergency services. Numerous locals rushed to assist, armed with fire extinguishers, but their efforts were in vain for the first white SUV, which was rapidly consumed by the flames and rendered almost beyond repair.
The adjacent three cars also suffered varying degrees of damage.
The incident is currently under thorough investigation.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
