STORYLINE:

A Chinese-constructed road in Afghanistan has greatly improved local people's lives and facilitated transportation and business activities.

The newly completed 45-km-long road runs from Jalalabad, the capital of east Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, to southern Khogyani district. It has cut travel time between the two places from about four hours to one hour.
