IDF and Yahalom Unit Dismantle Hamas Infrastructure in High Rise District in Gaza
This footage was filmed and produced 4 January 2024.
In a joint operation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) 646th Brigade and Yahalom Special Engineering Unit successfully concluded an operation in Gaza's High Rise district this week. The area, utilized by Hamas for launching anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles, was found to harbor loaded rocket launchers, buildings rigged with explosives, tunnel shafts, and various explosives.
During the operation, IDF forces eliminated Hamas militants, located and destroyed numerous tunnel shafts, and unearthed an array of weapons, including sniper rifles, RPG launchers, AK-47 assault rifles, pistols, and rifles. Notably, a chemical laboratory for weapon production was also discovered.
Engineering forces, in collaboration with the Air Force, conducted precise strikes, demolishing buildings rigged with explosives, observation posts, and underground tunnel shafts. The attached footage provides a glimpse into one of the tunnel shafts found in the area. Additionally, a video featuring LTC Erez, Commander of Battalion 8105, and a photo showcasing the weapons uncovered during the operation are available for reference.
