Good Samaritans united to recover and return dozens of thousands of pounds in cash spilled on a highway in northern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Handan in Hebei Province on January 4.

The car, travelling from south to north, collided with a large cleaning vehicle, resulting in significant damage to the car's left side and windows. The driver sustained head injuries, and the shattered windows caused the cash inside the vehicle to be scattered across the road.

The situation took a turn for the better as a passing intercity bus pulled over, and its passengers rushed to the scene to assist. Private car drivers also joined the impromptu rescue mission, collectively gathering the strewn cash and returning it to the rightful owner.

Officers from the Hebei High-Speed Traffic Police Publicity Division provided further details, explaining that emergency personnel arrived swiftly at the scene. The injured were to be transported to the hospital, but concerns arose about the substantial amount of cash in the vehicle with no secure place to store it.

Quick-thinking police officers suggested placing the money in their patrol car, and providing the driver with their contact information to ease any worries about the funds.

Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the police and the kind-hearted passersby, normal traffic flow was restored on the expressway in no time.

Due to prompt medical attention, the injured parties are reported to be in stable condition. On the afternoon of January 4th, the police returned the recovered cash to the company representatives of the injured.

1月4日，河北邯郸，京港澳高速上发生一起交通事故，一辆轿车与一辆大型作业清扫车发生碰撞，轿车翻滚几圈后停到了路边，车上几十万现金散落在了高速上。这时路过的司机、乘客发现后，纷纷下车主动帮忙捡拾，并归还给了失主。
河北高速交警总队宣传科民警介绍，当时轿车正由南往北行驶，与一辆大型作业清扫车相刮擦，造成轿车左侧车身及玻璃损坏，驾驶人头部受伤。由于轿车玻璃损坏，车内装载的现金瞬间被风吹落路面。路过的一辆中巴客车停到路边，车内人员纷纷下车帮忙捡拾，一些私家车驾乘人员也主动帮忙，最后将捡回的现金归还车主。急救人员赶到现场后，当事车上的陪同人员需一同陪伤者前往医院，但是又担心车上的大量现金没地方放置犹豫不决，民警当即提出可以放到警车上，并留下自己的电话号码，让其放心前往医院。在民警和好心人的共同努力下道路很快恢复正常通行。
由于救治及时，目前伤者已无大碍，民警于1月4日下午把现金交还给了伤者公司的人。
1月5日，在现场帮忙捡拾现金的一名群众李先生介绍，事故发生在1月4日9时40分左右，他当时与十余名安阳老乡乘中巴车前往邢台。“事故车就从我们车前方翻滚过去，司机马上采取紧急措施靠边停车，大家第一时间救人。当时小车里一共两个人，司机头部受伤处于昏迷状态，后座小伙神志清醒，我和同伴一起破门救下小伙，我在9时52分拨打报警电话。我们随后开始帮车主捡拾现金，我自己帮车主捡了有几十万，还有一部折叠手机，全部物归原主。在我们之后陆续停了好多车，许多人下来帮忙，听口音都是河北、河南一带的乡亲们。”李先生回忆。
