Diplomatic envoys from more than 30 countries, including Cameroon, Ghana, Nepal, Mongolia, and Romania, have gone on a two-day tour in China's Shenzhen to better understand the city's achievements and explore cooperation potential in various fields.

The diplomats visited the Qianhai Exhibition Hall, the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub, and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange to discuss future cooperation and development vision.

SOUNDBITE 1 (English): MARTHA MAVROMMATI, Cyprus' Ambassador to China
"We are very impressed with the development, the innovation of the companies, the very friendly environmental and green energy that they are portraying. This is amazing, especially in this area, that 40 years ago the whole of China was struggling to make it and they have managed to take out of poverty 800 million people, but at the same time to be pioneers when it comes to 5G, when it comes to the electric cars, when it comes to sustainable development. I mean this is very impressive."

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): DAN-HORIA MAXIM, Romanian Ambassador to China
"I think Shenzhen is the most spectacular in terms of infrastructure and modern buildings. This is the most important or the most dynamic region, right? And it's a hub for the industry, for the services, for trade. So I think it's probably in the front of the economic development of China. We would like to cooperate in many areas, of course also in this area of sustainable development. I think this is an important thing."
