"I am now in Hekou Yao Autonomous County in southwest China's Yunnan Province, which is bordered with Lao Cai Province in Vietnam. Today, a New Year gala co-hosted by China and Vietnam is held there. Let's enjoy it."
More than 2,000 border residents from China and Vietnam watched the Spring Festival gala online and offline on Tuesday.
Artists from both sides brought wonderful performances to an exciting crowd gathering in Hekou County, an important gateway for economic and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
It's the sixth edition of the cross-border galas initiated in 2017. A similar gala was also held in Vietnam's Lao Cai on Monday, as part of a series of celebratory activities that aim to build a bridge of communication between the people of the two countries and create more opportunities for exchanges.
