Marching band majorette keeps dancing through flood
A marching band majorette kept dancing through the flood with this inspired performance.
Marian Batingal Tuazon, 19, was a contestant at the Sadow Festival Drum and Lyre Competition when a thunderstorm hit the venue in Agusan del Norte province on June 17.
The deluge overflowed to the covered court, but Marian, along with her bandmates, ignored the dirty water and proceeded with their routine.
Footage shows Marian twirling the baton and doing splits on the swampy and muddy ground while the drummers and other dancers around her play their instruments.
The event's photographer, Hanotoy Shot, said: ‘That band majorette's professionalism and commitment was really impressive.'
