Militants and leaders of the Union de Trabajadores y Trabajadoras de la Economia Popular (UTEP) held since 11.30 a protest called "Ollazo Nacional por la Emergencia Alimentaria" at the headquarters of the Ministry of Human Capital, with the presence of a strong presence of the Police of the City of Buenos Aires.

The demonstration was taking place at the headquarters of the social portfolio, located at 1285 Carlos Pellegrini Street, almost Juncal, in downtown Buenos Aires, to denounce "the hunger of millions of families who were left with empty plates," the organizers informed through a press release.

"We continue to insist on the problem of the food emergency, in an action in front of the Ministry of Human Capital and in all the CDR (reference centers), which are the territorial delegations of the Ministry", informed the general secretary of the UTEP, Alejandro 'Peluca' Gramajo.

The protest was taking place since 11.30 a.m. at the gates of the ministry headed by Minister Sandra Pettovello.

"If they don't care about the hunger of millions of families who are left with empty plates, we do. We will not give up until the pots of the poor are filled again", expressed Gramajo.
